As we've been doing this and that all over the house I can't help but feel that nothing is FINISHED. There are little "projects" that need to be done and tweaked everywhere and sometimes it can become a bit... unsettling. Obviously this is something that comes with being a new homeowner but dammit, I want something to feel homey! I want this place to feel like our home and not just our house. It was time to set some of Mr's home improvement projects aside and at least get to a little bit of decor.
So yay! Now we have some things on our walls!
We got this lovely little piece from my mom for Christmas. We hung it in our entryway on the wall in front of our stairs.

These guys were also a gift from my mother and I have been struggling with where to put them since we got here! We ended up arranging them in the hallway to our main living space. I love them!

This space was the hardest. I swear I looked for months for the right piece of art to put over that damn mantle and nothing felt "right". That is, until a trip to the new Homegoods in Avon this past week where we found this beautiful clock. I LOVE the way it looks and how is sparkles in the light of our living room, and he loves that it isn't JUST decor and "has a function". Hey, whatever makes him happy, right? Still need to figure out what to actually put ON the mantle... but that's for another day.
